Tycho

MCL Motorhomes have, after a lot of hard work, developed a new vehicle range which has a GVW of under 7.5t and can therefore be driven on a standard, pre-1997, car license. This vehicle range, the evolution of the Galileo, has been named Tycho after the famous Danish astronomer. Tycho will be Europe’s first high-end A-class motorhome weighing less than 7.5 tonnes with a living area slide-out and automatic hydraulic self-levelling.

The base vehicle for Tycho is the excellent MAN TGL 8.210 truck chassis. Onto this chassis we will construct an aluminium sub-frame to create a flat base on which to build the motorhome. There will be several variants on the standard layout and an options list as long as your arm, so there will be plenty of choice to personalise your motorhome.

We have reduced the width of the vehicle from its’ larger brethren by 100mm, thus creating a less intimidating vehicle to drive. We have managed to maintain MCL Motorhomes’ famous build quality with Corian work surfaces and real timber furniture (not foils).
