History

In 1994 a group of highly skilled craftsmen were assembled to start the manufacture of luxury motorhomes under the name of Ultra Motorhomes. The first vehicle ever produced was a 9m A-Class motorhome based on a Mercedes-Benz chassis and was released to critical acclaim. In 1997 a 54,000 sq.ft production facility was commissioned to accommodate us, as demand increased. We still reside here to this day.

MCL factory

After numerous name changes, the original company was bought in 2003 by two customers, Mike Endean and Jeremy Leonard. An extensive management re-shuffling program was then instigated, retaining the very best bits of the old company; including original craftsmen and key employees, but weeding out the weaknesses of the old management.
The new company was christened Minffordd Consortium Limited (referred to colloquially as MCL Motorhomes) to reflect the significant changes that had taken place within the infrastructure. MCL has emerged as a forward thinking and innovative manufacturer, with each and every member of its team dedicated to the production of exclusive, superior quality vehicles.
